Parkgate Pirates

  • Football World Cup

    This week, we have joined the rest of the school in celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the children really enjoyed colouring in their favourite famous footballer players and designing their unique football shirts. 

  • Children in Need – People who help us

    This week’s Wraparound Club theme was ‘Children in need – People who help us’ and the children really enjoyed taking part in colouring and cutting out their own Pudsey Bear. They had great fun making a Pudsey Bear pencil holder. 

     

  • Lots of creative activities

    This week, Parkgate Pirates joined the rest of the school in celebrating Remembrance Day and the children really enjoined completing the topic related activities, including making their own poppy.

    We also talked about Autumn season and the children were invited to make a hedgehog fingers puppet.

  • Festivities

    This week, the children have been busy completing various activities relating to Diwali, Guy Fawkes Night and Halloween.

    The children particularly enjoyed making their very own ‘Spider Hat’ and a few boys in the breakfast club used their imagination and made a fantastic Firework using Bunchems sticky moulds.

  • My House

    This week’s theme in the wraparound club was ‘My house/home and where I live’. We talked to children about the type of house or flat they live in and asked them if they know the name of their street and town. Everyone really enjoyed this topic and produced some really lovely work.

     

  • Weather

    This week, we have been learning about the weather and seasons. All children really enjoyed this topic, and we had some lovely conversations about their favourite season of the year and the reasons why they like it so much. They also completed lots of topic related activities and colouring pages.

  • Space & Planets

    This week, in wraparound club, we have been learning all about space and planets.  The children showed very good overall knowledge about planets and space and their understanding of this very exciting topic.

    They produced some amazing work which they all should be very proud of.

  • Harvest Week

    This week, we have joined the rest of the school in celebrating the Harvest Festival. Children really enjoyed completing various topic related activities and talking about the Harvest Festival and the importance of it.

  • Family Tree

    This week, we have been talking to children about their family tree and children were encouraged to complete various activities relating to the ‘Family Tree’ topic.
    Children particularly enjoyed completing their own family’s tree chart, colouring activities and crossword puzzles.
